1 John 4:9
This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him.
Note Or only begotten or unique
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his only born Son into the world that we might live through him.
Note The phrase “only born” is from the Greek word “μονογενη”, which is sometimes translated “only begotten” or “one and only”.
Herein was the love of God manifested in us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him.
