Terms of use
Last updated 27 October 2026
These terms cover the BibleBook.net website and the BibleBook apps for Android and iPhone, which are made by NextOne Labs LLC (“we”). By using them you agree to these terms. They are written in plain words; if anything is unclear, write to us.
Free to read, study and listen to
BibleBook.net and the BibleBook apps are free to read, study and listen to. Accounts are optional. The one paid feature is BibleBook Sync (below), which keeps your things the same across your devices; everything else, including saving and restoring backups, is available to everyone, with or without an account. You may use BibleBook for your own reading and study, in church, in teaching and in small groups.
The Bible texts
The four translations in BibleBook are in the public domain (the King James Version is under Crown patent in the United Kingdom; see Translations), as are the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge and Strong’s dictionaries. You may quote, copy and share them freely. The book introductions, topics, reading plans and the design of the site and apps are our own work: you’re welcome to share links to them and quote them briefly, but please don’t copy them wholesale into another site or app.
Your account (optional)
- You can sign in with Google, or with Apple where it’s offered. An account is needed for BibleBook Sync, which syncs your highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading plans and progress between your devices.
- You’re responsible for the account you sign in with and for what you save with it. Please don’t use your notes to store anything unlawful.
- You can delete your account at any time, on the Saved page, in the app’s Settings or by email (seeDelete your account). Your account and everything stored with it, including its purchase records, are then deleted from our server straight away. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a yearly plan: cancel it first (see below).
- We may close an account that is used to attack or abuse the service.
How we handle your information, including the usage statistics the apps collect, is explained on theprivacy page.
BibleBook Sync
BibleBook Sync keeps your highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading plans and reading progress the same on the devices where you sign in to your BibleBook account. It is sold as a yearly plan or as a one-time payment, through Google Play in the Android app, the App Store in the iPhone app, or Stripe on this website, at the price shown there. A purchase belongs to the BibleBook account you were signed in with when you bought it, and works on the website and in the apps wherever you sign in to that account.
- Renewal. The yearly plan renews automatically at the end of each year, at the price shown when you bought it unless you’re told of a change beforehand, until you cancel it.
- Cancelling. You can cancel a yearly plan at any time: bought on this website, under Manage on theBibleBook Sync page; bought in an app, in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. Sync stays on until the end of the year already paid, and the plan doesn’t renew after that.
- Refunds go through the store you bought from. For a purchase on this website, write tosupport@biblebook.net within 30 days for a refund. For a purchase in the apps, Google Play or Apple handle refunds under their own terms. A refunded purchase no longer turns on sync.
- One-time payment. A one-time purchase (“Pay once”) has nothing to renew: it turns on BibleBook Sync for your account for as long as BibleBook Sync is offered.
- When sync ends (a yearly plan that isn’t renewed, or a refund), syncing stops. Nothing on your devices is deleted, and what was already stored with your account stays there until you delete the account.
- Purchases in the apps are also subject to the terms of Google Play or the App Store.
Fair use of the service
Please don’t try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, the apps or our server, and don’t use automated tools to download the site or the sync service in bulk.
No warranty
We work hard to keep BibleBook.net accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”, without any warranty. Keep a backup of anything important to you (Save a backup on the Saved page or in the app’s Settings). As far as the law allows, NextOne Labs LLC is not liable for any loss arising from using, or not being able to use, BibleBook.net.
Changes
We may change these terms as BibleBook.net grows. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If a change matters to people with an account, we’ll say so in the app or on the site.
