1 Samuel 20:14

And as long as I live, treat me with the Lord’s loving devotion, that I may not die,

Note Forms of the Hebrew chesed are translated here and in most cases throughout the Scriptures as loving devotion; the range of meaning includes love, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, and mercy, as well as loyalty to a covenant.

And thou shalt not only while yet I live shew me the kindness of the Lord, that I die not:

You shall not only show me the loving kindness of the Lord while I still live, that I not die;

And thou shalt not only while yet I live show me the lovingkindness of Jehovah, that I die not;
