- The first of these variations is attributable to the translation, the original being uniformly, [Meûwnîy ,] {Meûnim;} and the latter arises from the mutation of, [Vâv,] {wav,} and, [Yôwd,] {yood,} and insertion of, [Shîyn,] {sheen,} though in the parallel passage the Kethiv is [Nephîycîym ,] {Nephisim;} and here the Keri and many MSS. have [Nephûwhsecîym ,] {Nephishesim.}
